Ed is originally from the Philadelphia, PA area. His family moved to Texas in 1971 shortly after he graduated from high school. Ed completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his law degree from Baylor University School of Law, graduating with honors from both institutions. Ed founded Blizzard, McCarthy & Nabers in 1981 after working for three years as a litigator at Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. Ed is a leader in mass tort litigation. He has tried numerous cases involving defective drugs and medical devices. Many state and federal courts have appointed Ed to leadership roles in mass tort litigations including Fen-Phen, Vioxx, Baycol, Ephedra, Breast Implants and Sulzer Hip Implants. He is also a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars on mass tort litigation. Ed was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2007 in the field(s) of Personal Injury Litigation (Copyright 2006 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.).
