J. Scott Nabers Houston, Texas
Scott is originally from Brownwood, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. Scott began his legal career at Fisher, Gallagher & Lewis, L.L.P., specializing in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. In April of 1998, Scott joined the law firm of Helm, Pletcher, Bowen & Saunders, L.L.P. where he continued to specialize in mass tort litigation. In 2001, Scott joined what then became Blizzard, McCarthy & Nabers, L.L.P. Scott has represented plaintiffs in mass tort cases involving Fen-Phen, Redux, Rezulin, Vioxx, Ephedra, Sulzer, Medtronic and silicone breast implants. He has secured hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients through verdicts and settlements. Recently he served as a lead counsel on a Philadelphia case where the jury returned a verdict for $200 million for two individuals who suffered heart valve damage after taking the diet drug Fen-Phen. Additionally, Scott was admitted to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum as a result of his trial experience and significant jury verdicts. Scott and his wife, Donna, met in college at a University of Texas and Baylor University football game.
