Texas Legal Awards Names Anna Greenberg among Rising Stars for 2023
HOUSTON – Blizzard Greenberg partner Anna Greenberg has been named a Rising Star by the Texas Legal Awards compiled by Texas Lawyer magazine.
With a national reputation for success in difficult cases, Ms. Greenberg is recognized for spearheading the firm’s groundbreaking practice focused on ensuring justice for victims of hotel sexual assault cases. Working to ensure hotels establish and adhere to safety policies through her advocacy, she has secured several favorable verdicts and settlements on behalf of sexual assault victims while publishing helpful resources along the way.
Ms. Greenberg and the trial team at Blizzard Greenberg have been at the forefront of holding hotels legally accountable for failing to follow established security measures designed to prevent unlawful entry to travelers’ rooms, leading to sexual assaults and attempted sexual assaults of hotel guests. The firm has found that some hotel management companies fail to properly train hotel staff in security policies. Some also have been found not to be screening employees for criminal history. In other instances, the firm discovered hotel staff providing room keys to strangers without first verifying their claims of knowing women staying at the hotel.
The firm’s hotel sexual assault practice was recently featured in Texas Lawyer’s inaugural Watch List, which recognizes the accomplishments of law firms that the publication says, “should be on everybody’s radar.”
Rising Stars recognizes the state’s top lawyers 40 years of age and under who have wielded influence in Texas and beyond. The publication calls honorees innovators, with unique practice niches who show expertise in litigation.
